Welten im Wandel. Jenseits von Wissenschaften und den Künsten?

The publication “Welten im Wandel” reflects on a ‘troubled’ present, which is characterized by climate change, pandemic experiences as well as precarious living conditions. How can the sciences and the arts be thought of together in such a way that they stretch towards a future worth(er)living? What are the demands for change in relation to art production? How can the arts accompany social change? This volume engages practitioners and theorists, art and environment, science and politics, individual and society, in dialogue and enters into different tensions, critical frictions, and diverse threshold zones to approach these questions.
The anthology was produced following the lecture series: “Transitions, Transformations, Interstices: Networks between the Sciences and the Arts” of the doctoral program “The Arts and their Public Impact. Dynamics of Change.”
