Application process
Admission to the doctoral program requires the completion of a relevant diploma or master’s degree at a university or university of applied sciences, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised post-secondary educational institution. Degrees in the programs offered at Paris Lodron University of Salzburg and the Mozarteum University of Salzburg are, in any case, considered relevant.
In the case of a Master’s or Diplom degree from a different field of study, proof of equivalence must be provided in the form of a Master’s or Diplom thesis that is thematically related to the proposed doctoral thesis.
Admission to the program is based on a qualitative selection process comprising:
- a letter of motivation
- a description of the applicant’s academic background and artistic or cultural experience and skills
- the submission of a research proposal
- an interview
- the selection of, or consultation with, a supervisor
