Culture fund prices 2023
The Cultural Fund of the City of Salzburg invites applications:
Cultural Fund
– an International Main Prize for Art & Culture
Focus 2023: interdisciplinary art and culture work
endowed with € 12,000
for a personality/collective of persons whose work focuses on new cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary art/cultural work (at least two of which should be equally connected) and/or whose work has significantly promoted or promoted the development of cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary art/cultural work in Salzburg.
– an International Main Prize for Science & Research
Focus 2023: interdisciplinary research and academic work
endowed with 12,000 €
to a personality/collective of persons who, in the field of scientific activity and research, focuses specifically on the connection of scientific disciplines from the humanities/arts and natural sciences (whereby at least two of the three areas mentioned must be connected) and thus sets or has set new impulses in the field of science and research.
– a Salzburg Prize
endowed with 10,000 € + 4,000 € for the award of a sponsorship
10,000 € will be awarded as an appreciation prize to a personality who has decisively influenced areas of art & culture or science & research in the city of Salzburg through his or her work.
4,000 € will be made available to the Salzburg Prize winner for a sponsorship chosen by him/her for
– a person with a connection to Salzburg in the fields of art & culture or science & research, to be used for projects that are intended to support their artistic/scientific development
– an institution/initiative whose work is special to the city and its inhabitants.
The Salzburg Prize winner shall inform the management of the Kulturfonds of the reasons for the award no later than one week before the award ceremony.
– a Promotion Prize for Art & Culture
endowed with 6,000 €
for/to projects, initiatives or persons who originate from Salzburg or live here, or
whose work has a Salzburg connection and who have made special achievements in one or more fields of art and culture.
– a Promotion Prize for Science & Research
endowed with 6,000 €
for/to projects, initiatives or persons who come from Salzburg or live here or whose work has a Salzburg connection.
whose work has a Salzburg connection and who have made special achievements in the fields of science and research.
– a cultural or scientific promotion prize for projects involving children/young people or for children and young people from the city of Salzburg.
endowed with 6,000 €
which benefit children and/or young people who live and/or work in the city of Salzburg or who complete their education in the city.
