Workshop with Mary Maggic

As a collective, we will explore the alienation that lives in our bodies and environments, and how we can create from its disobedience. With various somatic exercises, we will transform old paradigms of toxicity and normativity into new modes of being and belonging. The alien becomes the raw material from which we build our futures, with a radical breakage from the past.
From the pulsating words of scholar Anna Tsing, “purity is not an option!”

Mary Maggic is an artist and researcher whose practice revolves around workshopology as a shared process of knowledge production and care. With this participatory practice, Maggic hopes to collectively move us beyond pollution, planetary wounds, and grief.
