Life after the Book – From Dust to Re-Use and Revival

Bring along an old book!

The focus area Society and Sustainability | Contemporary Art and Cultural Production regularly hosts networking meetings where interested individuals can discuss issues of sustainability, network, and enjoy a meal together.

This time, the networking event is dedicated to the question: What happens to our books when they are no longer needed? How can we repair, recycle, pass on, or gift them? What potential do books hold other than being just reading material? Can they be given a new lease of life in some other form?

Anyone interested is invited to bring along old books or books that are no longer needed but which they are reluctant to part with. These will form the basis for a discussion and a series of stations featuring practical workshops, where the above questions will be explored. This will be followed by a vegan dinner, which will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange and network.
